Clean Energy Power Project and Alaska Renewable Power Project work synchronously on the same mission-vision. Alaska Renewable Power Project is a branch of CEPP specifically working in the farthest state of Alaska with its own unique goal of preserving the pristine beauty of the last frontier and utilizing local Alaskan partners in helping with the transition to Renewable Energy. AKRPP operates autonomously but in partnership with CEPP in regards to implementation of projects and facilitations of outreach and trainings.
Alaska Renewable Power Project was created due to the necessity of bringing alternative energy sources to the last frontier. Home to untapped natural resources, geothermal power, hydropower, solar power, and wind power, Alaska has endless potential in renewable energy. The need to raise awareness was the key factor in the conception of AKRPP as we bring campaigns to lessen CO2 emissions in the atmosphere especially with the use of coal, gas, firewood, in the winter for heat. The ongoing mining, off-shore drilling, and disturbance of wildlife habitat has also been a concern for local Alaskans as more and more forests are disturbed while bringing infrastructure to the last frontier.
Conserve, Preserve, and Reserve. Our mission to be on board with industrialization while keeping balance with preserving wildlife habitat, pristine waters, lush forests, and age-old glaciers. Vigilance on the declining glaciers, AKRPP aims to help combat climate change as we raise awareness on how to better use energy that is not harmful to the environment.
